![]() Academics Consider What We Have to Offer
At Ohio Wesleyan, you will learn and grow by being open to new ideas and ways of solving problems, applying knowledge gained in one area to another, constantly pushing the boundaries of what is known, taking action, and asking questions. The Honors Program » The Leland F. and Helen Schubert Honors Program recognizes the most talented students among Ohio Wesleyan’s community of scholars and challenges them through Honors Tutorials, Honors Seminars, and Honors Scholarships. Off-Campus Opportunities » From world-class internships to a major exchange program with Spain, OWU students enjoy many academic options throughout the United States and around the globe. Summer Science Research » Opportunity for students to work one-on-one with faculty in their laboratory over the summer months on a research project. The 10-week program provides students a small stipend and on-campus housing. The program concludes with a fall symposium where students share with the campus community their research findings. Many students also present their findings at national professional meetings and in professional journals. The faculty also assist students in finding summer research placements outside the college when their interests can be better met elsewhere. Academic Resources » From the extensive collections at the Leon A. Beeghly Library and three branch libraries to an advanced information and scientific technology infrastructure, OWU provides students with a variety of resources to enhance and improve their academic pursuits. Concurrent Enrollment » OWU is pleased to continue to offer an educational enrichment option to qualified high school juniors and seniors who live in the central Ohio area. Concurrent Enrollment provides the opportunity for such students to enroll in a regular college course on our campus and use such coursework for college credit. Note: Ohio Wesleyan University does not offer graduate courses/degrees or online courses/degrees. OWU is an undergraduate, residential, liberal arts college.
