The Arts: Fine Arts

T HE DEPARTMENT OF FINE ARTS is a community of both practicing professional artists and young aspiring artists. You’ll create art with the guidance of faculty who are seriously engaged in their own artistic endeavors. The combination of focused arts education with the liberal arts offers you a unique type of intellectual and cultural stimulation, and we believe that’s a special asset for young artists. The department provides general experience through a broad BA program and/or professional preparation with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Most students opt for the concentrated studio work of the BFA.
