The Arts: Theatre & Dance

O HIO WESLEYAN’S Department of Theatre & Dance will prepare you to be a professional. You’ll receive practical experience in all phases of production, and your courses will be taught by professional directors, playwrights, designers, and stage managers who know what professional standards are and how to bring them both to the classroom and to productions. All this preparation is tied to the wider worldview a liberal arts curriculum provides—and that makes you better at any field you enter.

Beyond-the-classroom opportunities: Four major productions per year, including classic and contemporary plays; musical theatre; and dance productions. Student projects, original productions, student dance events, guest artists. Babbling Bishops (student improv group) Orchesis, TerpsiCorps (dance organizations). Theta Alpha Phi (theatre honorary society). The New York Arts Program, The Philadelphia Center, internships, study abroad. Student board.
