The Humanities: Ancient, Medieval, and Renaissance Studies

I N THIS MAJOR, you’ll reach across the curriculum and select courses from several departments: English, fine arts, history, humanities-classics, modern foreign languages, music, philosophy, and religion. Most students choose to combine a major in English, history, or humanities-classics with ancient, medieval, or Renaissance studies. You’ll be encouraged to explore the frontiers between various areas of study; and you’ll emerge as a well-rounded scholar, ready to pursue an advanced degree or a career.
