Alumni Relations Event Planner/Coordinator

Ohio Wesleyan University (www.owu.edu) is a selective, private, undergraduate liberal arts, residential institution founded in 1842 and is located just 20 miles north of Columbus.

Responsibilities:

Coordinates (and sometimes staffing) events that are solely supported by the University Relations/Alumni Relations team. Partner with various campus constituencies for university-wide events. Assist with Homecoming/Family Weekend planning and maintaining the Homecoming/Family Weekend Web site; Assist with Alumni Weekend planning and maintaining the Alumni Weekend Web site: Contacting alumni on the many questions related to unclear/incorrect registrations; Coordinating specialized mailings and e-mail marketing for events; Assist various constituency groups with event planning; coordinate other events for alumni and students that are designated as an on-campus event/programs.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and a valid driver’s license. Strong organizational, program management, interpersonal, and communication skills are also required as well as the ability to work some evenings and weekends. Past experience working with alumni groups and/or volunteer organizations preferred. Ohio Wesleyan Alumni are encouraged to apply.
