The Residential Life Late Night Desk is located in Smith Hall and operates when classes are in session between the hours of 7:00pm-11:00pm Sunday through Thursday, and 7:00pm-1:00am on Fridays and Saturdays.  Borrow a vacuum cleaner, moving cart, kitchen supplies, or a game to play with your friends!  You can also get help if you've locked yourself out of your room or just need to connect with a Residential Life team member.  

The new Smith Hall Fitness Center is conveniently located on the first floor of Smith Hall.  It includes both cardio and strengthening equipment, and is open between 5:00am and Midnight daily when classes are in session.

Loft kits can be rented from OWU for $100 per academic year, regardless of the length of time you have the loft kit.  The fee pays for the proper installation of the loft kit and the taking down of the loft kit when you move out.  Per university policy, students cannot bring their own loft kit.  Equipment to bunk beds is free.  The loft rental fee is applied directly to your student bill and is non-refundable. 

Students, not the University, are responsible for loss of personal property within your room on campus due to theft, fire, flood, etc... The Department of Residential Life encourages all students to have student property insurance.  There are many options out there for you to select from, but if you need a place to look we suggest you look at Gallagher Insurance as an affordable option.

The University does not offer storage for personal belongings, but will store bicycles over break periods (winter and summer) at no cost to students.  Learn more about OWU's bicycle storage program and explore off-campus storage options for your personal belongings at the link below. 

During the major move-in and move-out periods, you'll find both red bin carts and metal flatbed carts to assist you in moving belongings around campus.  If you need to borrow a moving cart outside of those periods of time, please check one out at the Residential Life Late Night Desk in Smith Hall.

Basic amentities like wifi and laundry are offered in every residence hall and house at no additional cost to students.

Community kitchens, study lounges, and spaces to connect with friends are located throughout our residence halls and houses.  Cook a meal, watch tv, form a study group, and have fun with friends!
