The steps to campus employment are fairly simple, but you must complete all of them before you can be hired at OWU. Visiting the Student Employment Office/ Human Resources (University Hall, Room 003) is a good place to begin. We have helpful information and all the forms you’ll need to start working on campus. Step 1:

Locate a campus job. See Working on Campus FAQs for tips in finding a position.

Step 2:

Submit the I-9 Form using the acceptable, original (no copies) forms of documentation listed:

  1. Photo ID that proves your identity, e.g., an original driver’s license or student ID card, and
  2. Document that verifies U.S.work eligibility, such as an original Social Security card, certified birth certificate, or other documentation.
  3. A valid U.S. passport will work for both proof of identity and eligibility to work in this country.

 Step 3:

Submit a voided check for Direct Deposit. Direct Deposit is required at OWU for the benefit of the students. Contact the Student Employment Office with questions regarding this requirement.

Meet with prospective employer to receive the appointment notice with specifics about your position. 

REMINDER

All hiring paperwork, including the appointment notice, must be completed and returned to the Student Employment Office before you start working at OWU.
