Dean of the Explore Institute
Mary is a graduate of Ohio State University with a B.A. in Education. She serves as Associate Chaplain for Catholic Community and is the current Dean of the Explore Institute. Prior to this, Mary has worked as a High School Art Teacher at Dublin City Schools, Art Director of summer camp programs for Upper Arlington, Ohio, Parks and Recreation, and 20 years as consultant and event coordinator for Catholic Schools and Parishes, Columbus, Ohio, Diocese. She has served in multiple volunteer leadership roles and has learned many diverse skill sets, some of which include fund-raising, event management, client needs analysis, relationship building, budgeting and expenses, marketing and promotion, graphic and web-site design, staff supervision, program implementation, project development, and instruction and development. She is also an active member of St. Joan of Arc, Powell, Ohio and the Columbus Catholic Women’s Conference Planning committee. Mary’s biggest achievement and blessing is her 5 children, a very special son-in-law, a soon to be born granddaughter, and the gift of a wonderful husband, David. With every moment she is grateful for the opportunity to work with Ohio Wesleyan University students but even more thrilled to be once again working with high school students for the Explore Institute.
