Baccalaureate Service

Baccalaureate is a senior capstone service that takes place during Commencement weekend.

Unlike more traditional Baccalaureate services that function as Christian church services, our Baccalaureate is a student planned, student led, interfaith celebration of the spiritual journeys of the senior class. If you are a senior and interested in helping plan this year’s service, please contact Becky Swartz.

Common Texts

Common Texts is a discussion group centered around the sacred texts of the Abrahamic faiths—Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

Students gather to discuss the Tanakh (Torah, Prophets and Writings), the Gospels (Christian scripture), and the Qur’an (Muslim sacred text). Both similarities and differences are explored in open, respectful dialogue. Contact Chaplain Powers for more information.
