Here on Ohio Wesleyan's campus, the Spectrum Resource Center prides itself on conducting certifications for locations that can be deemed as safe zones. We define a safe zone as a space where all people are welcomed, valued, and are assured that they will feel safe regardless of complexities of identity. We emphasize that safe zones are spaces where intersectionality is recognized and emphasized, encouraging those certified to treat those in the space as full and complex humans.

This page will allow the current and future Ohio Wesleyan community to see which locations are certified, as well as which faculty have gone through training. If you believe that any of the spaces/people listed below are not acting in accordance with our definition of a safe space, please do not hesitate to contact us via email or phone. Thank you!
