About

Paula White is Ohio Wesleyan’s Middle Childhood Education program director. Her diverse teaching experience includes work in an alternative middle school, a psychiatric facility, and a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. Additionally, she has taught as a member of a teaching team in a traditional middle school.

She has a special interest in preparing individuals to teach diverse students in diverse settings. Her teaching interest includes education psychology, mathematics education, and middle childhood education. She recently completed a research study entitled: “Ohio Middle Childhood Licensure Study.” She is the past President of the Ohio Middle Level Professors (OMLP) Association and the current Treasurer for OMLP.  Her current research study examines student learning across connected courses.
