The 2019 Ohio Wesleyan University Low Brass Day is an event for trombone, tuba, and baritone/euphonium musicians of all ages and playing levels. This event will include group warm-up sessions, masterclasses, a recital by the OWU Low Brass faculty, and will end with a concert featuring all participants in a mass low brass choir. In addition to the performances and masterclasses, music vendors will be on hand for participants to try out instruments and purchase sheet music.

High school students are strongly encouraged to attend this event, and encouraged to bring any solo/ensemble pieces to perform in the masterclass sessions.

Why Should You Attend?

  • Faculty performances on trombone and tuba.
  • Studio classes – chance to work one-on-one with OWU Low Brass Faculty.
  • Try out low brass instruments.
  • Be part of a Trombone Choir or a Tuba/Euphonium Ensemble.
  • Perform on stage with a MASSIVE low brass choir.
