OWU Low Brass Day
Featuring Guest Artist David Roode (Trombonist, Des Moines Metro Opera)

9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The 2019 Ohio Wesleyan University Low Brass Day is an event for trombone, tuba, and baritone/euphonium musicians of all ages and playing levels. This event will include group warm-up sessions, masterclasses, a recital by the OWU Low Brass faculty, and will end with a concert featuring all participants in a mass low brass choir. In addition to the performances and masterclasses, music vendors will be on hand for participants to try out instruments and purchase sheet music.
High school students are strongly encouraged to attend this event, and encouraged to bring any solo/ensemble pieces to perform in the masterclass sessions.

Cost and Registration
The OWU Low Brass Day cost for participants is $20. Parents are welcome to join their child at no additional charge.

|9 a.m.||Separate Tuba/Euphonium and Trombone Group Warm-Ups|
|10:15 a.m.||Masterclass/Studio Class|
(Food not provided, see list of restaurants near campus.)
Also a time to visit vendors and campus.

|3 p.m.||Ensemble Rehearsal in Presser and Jemison (both within Sanborn Hall)
(Have a separate trombone ensemble and a tuba/euphonium ensemble.)
2-3 pieces per group then maybe 1-2 pieces with mass ensemble.
||Break/Visit Vendors/Speak with OWU Low Brass Faculty
|4:30 p.m.||Concert featuring trombone choirs, tuba/euphonium ensembles, ending with a MASSIVE low brass choir. Concert is FREE and open to the public.
