The Departments of Botany/Microbiology and Zoology have developed a centralized tutoring program aimed at students enrolled in BIOL 120 (Introduction to Cell Biology) and 122 (Organisms and Their Environment).  The program is funded by and administered in conjunction with Sagan Academic Resource Center.

Tutoring sessions will begin the week of September 4, 2018.

Open Tutoring Sessions: Tutors will provide assistance with lecture and/or laboratory material in a group setting in the Beeghly and Science Libraries at the following times:

Wednesday: 7-9 p.m. (Beeghly Library)
Thursday: 7-9 p.m. (Beeghly Library)
Sunday: 7-9 p.m. (Beeghly Library)

  • Feel free to attend as many open tutoring sessions as you wish.
  • Please complete an intake form and provide it to the student tutor upon your arrival. The collected information will enhance the ability of the tutor to provide specific instructional assistance.

Individual Tutoring Sessions: Tutors will provide assistance with lecture and/or laboratory material in a one-on-one setting in the Science Library at the following times:

Thursday: 3:00-5:00 p.m. (Science Library)

  • You must schedule an individual tutoring session here. When scheduling an appointment, enter your first and last name in the desired time slot. If you wish to cancel the appointment simply delete it from your personal Google calendar. Please do not schedule more than one 30-minute individual session per day. If no time slots appear on the calendar then all sessions have been scheduled for the week.
  • Please complete an intake form and provide it to the student tutor at the start of the session. The collected information will enhance the ability of the tutor to provide specific instructional assistance.
