Justin Breidenbach teaches courses relating to principles of financial accounting, intermediate accounting, federal tax accounting, and auditing. Prior to joining the faculty at OWU, Breidenbach served as a faculty member at Lake Erie College, where he taught courses relating to financial accounting, fraud and forensic accounting, auditing, and tax.
Additionally, Breidenbach assisted in the creation of a fraud and forensic accounting concentration at Lake Erie College and served as a faculty advisor to the student-run Accounting Club and student accounting competition teams.
Prior to joining the world of academia, Breidenbach had extensive professional work experience in public accounting, and he still enjoys consulting individuals and businesses on accounting-related topics. Breidenbach provided public accounting services to organizations operating in the fields of manufacturing, distribution and service, and not-for-profit.
His primary research interests are financial reporting, auditing and assurance services, tax accounting, and financial fraud detection and deterrence.
