Shanzay Ali

My name is Shanzay Ali and I am from Boise, Idaho. I previously lived in Powell, Ohio and attended Olentangy Liberty High School as a freshman. I was captain of the varsity tennis team my senior year, and I plan to continue my tennis career as a Bishop. I worked at a daycare and participated in a unique leadership development class. I was president of my school's  DECA club. At Ohio Wesleyan University, I plan to major in Finance Economics and minor in Accounting. I am extremely excited to be part of the Economic Fellows Program!

Ethan Berkovitz

My name is Ethan Berkovitz, and I am from Solon, Ohio. I attended Solon High School where I was a 4 year letter award recipient in soccer and team captain my senior year. I am looking forward to continuing my soccer career at Ohio Wesleyan in the fall. Outside of school, I am a Platinum Ambassador for the Arthritis Foundation, where I visit Washington D.C yearly to meet with my congressmen and promote changes to our health care system. I have also participated in numerous fundraisers to help raise money and awareness for all types of arthritis. At OWU I plan to major in Quantitative Economics and minor in Finance. I know that these rigorous majors at OWU will set me up for anything that I want to do after college.  I am extremely excited to be a member of the EMF Program, and I look forward to being a Battling Bishop.

Kolby Brock

My name is Kolby Brock, and I am from San Dimas, California. I graduated from Western Christian High School, where I was involved in honors societies, club leadership, and student government. I was a co-founder of both Math Club (serving as Secretary then Vice President) and Future Business Leaders of America & Stock Club (serving as Vice President then President). I was the school newspaper and yearbook editor. I also served as Junior Class Vice President, and then Associated Student Body Vice President. In my free time, I have volunteered for political campaigns and was selected as a Young Legislator for my state assemblymen. At Ohio Wesleyan, I plan to major in Politics and Government and minor in Accounting with the goal of serving in local or state government. I am excited and humbled to be a part of the EMF Program!

Anna Court

My name is Anna Court and I am from Galion, Ohio. At Galion High School I was involved in many sports and extra-cirriculars including tennis, wrestling, track & field, National Honor Society, Student Council, and Teen Green. I also played trombone, piano, and organ in my high school band and hometown church. I plan to continue my throwing career at Ohio Wesleyan while studying either accounting or economics. I hope to attend law school after OWU. I am so thankful for the opportunities I have been granted through EMF and can't wait to see what comes next!

Huy (Jeremy) Dao

My name is Huy Dao (you can call me Jeremy).  I am from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.   I love sports, listening to music and socializing.  I am planning to major in Economics Management and I am eager to explore all OWU has to offer.  I am very honorored to be a part of the EMF program. 

Jamison Ellis

My name is Jamison Ellis and I am from North Canton, Ohio. I played golf and baseball in high school and will be playing golf at OWU. My interest in business came from the business program at my high school where I had the opportunity to start my own business. I plan to major in finance economics. I look forward to being a part of the EMF program and everything it has to offer!

Vincent Larente

My name is Vincent Larente. I’m originally from LaSalle, QC, Canada, however I went to high school and graduated from Desert Vista in Phoenix, AZ. I was a three sport varsity athlete and two sport state champion, participating in soccer, cross country, and track and field. Throughout high school I was also involved in various clubs including National Honor Society, both the French and Spanish Honor Societies, as well as being the soccer representative for our interclub council. I have lived in four countries and have visited many more. I look forward to being able to use OWU’s resources to further my world knowledge while studying business administration with a focus on Marketing. I am excited to continue my soccer career as a Bishop and to be a part of the EMF program.

Rachel Madore

My name is Rachel Madore and I am from Lexington, Ohio, where I attend Lexington High School.  I love to stay involved in my school and community. I participate in National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica, Show Choir, Mid-Ohio Youth Mentoring, Drama Club, community theater, Academic Challenge, and Key Club. I currently study voice at Ohio Wesleyan and I am excited to be on campus full time this fall. At OWU, I intend to double major in Economics and Vocal Performance. I am thrilled to be a part of the EMF program and to continue my education at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Amanda Momany

My name is Amanda Momany and I am from Toledo, Ohio. I attended Saint Ursula Academy where I competed in golf for three years, and was a member of the Spirit Squad. I enjoyed taking business classes and art electives throughout my years at SUA. At Ohio Wesleyan I will be majoring in Accounting, and am looking forward to continuing my golf career! I also look forward to continuing my community service work. I cannot wait to be a part of, and explore all that the EMF program has to offer.

Alex Mullins

Hi, my name is Alex Mullins and I am from Mount Vernon, Ohio where I attended Mount Vernon high school. While at Mount Vernon I played football, ran track and wrestled, I was a captain of our football and track team. I was heavily involved in youth sports, spending time with our youth football and baseball programs volunteering in a variety of ways, I plan to continue this volunteer work while at college. At OWU, I plan to study finance and to continue my football career. I am excited to join the EMF program because of the many opportunities it has to offer and meeting everyone else involved.

Duncan Munro

My name is Duncan Munro, and I’m from West End, North Carolina. I’ve played lacrosse for the past six years and I’m going to continuing playing at Ohio Wesleyan, as well as majoring in Finance. Throughout High school I was involved in various volunteering programs.  I can’t wait for all the opportunities that will come with the EMF program and to see everything the program offers. 

Nathan Oke

My name is Nathan Oke and I’m from Shelby Township, Michigan where I attended Utica High School. I was the Secretary for my Student Council, involved in National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, and played a total of five sports throughout high school. I plan to major in pre-dental and have a minor in business. I am also committed to play tennis at Ohio Wesleyan University. I am humbled by this chance and grateful for the opportunities that I know will be presented to me in this program. I also look forward to the connections and relationships I will build with the other fellows and professors. Go Bishops!

Emma Pennisi

My name is Emma Pennisi and I am from Fairfield, Ohio. I attended Mount Notre Dame High School where I played varsity softball all 4 years and was heavily involved in our community service programs. I will continue playing softball at OWU and plan to stay just as active in community service. I plan to major in accounting, and I look forward to taking advantage of all that OWU has to offer. I cannot wait to get on campus and get involved with everything, especially the EMF program.

Dominic Smith

My name is Dominic Smith, and I am from Marysville, Ohio. I graduated from Marysville High School, where I played four years of baseball. I also played four years of summer baseball, including two with my high school. Over my four years at Marysville I was drawn to the many business and economics classes. After taking multiple logistics and transportation management classes I decided logistics is what I wanted to learn about in college. I can't wait to attend OWU and further my baseball career and join the EMF program. I can't wait to see what wonderful opportunities I will have being in the EMF program and how they will help me prepare for the real world.

Elliot Spicer

My name is Elliot Spicer and I am from Newark Ohio. In high school I participated in National Honors Society, Student Council and I played varsity tennis. I will be majoring in International Business and playing on the tennis team in my time at OWU. After college I hope to have a job that allows me to travel and learn about different cultures. I believe the EMF program will help me succeed in and out of the classroom.
