In urban studies you will integrate urban-oriented materials from the major divisions of knowledge: social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, and the arts. It is a flexible program where you will develop a specific pattern of courses in consultation your advisor.

About the major

Majors in urban studies learn to be better urban citizens as they prepare for graduate study and employment. You will take a series of courses including seven from the urban core. As an urban studies major you also will complete a second major in a traditional course of study, such as Geography, Sociology/Anthropology, Politics & Government, or Economics. Urban studies majors share a love of cities and urban planning.
