Ohio Wesleyan University has a long history of welcoming students from around the world, providing a friendly and safe environment, and helping them prepare for a life of success and fulfillment.

Every year, many students from India and South Asia come to Ohio Wesleyan. They are welcomed with open arms, and they discover a world of opportunity.

With The OWU Connection, international and U.S. students have many opportunities to connect their classroom work with practical experience around the world. Delhi native and psychology major Shashank Sharma ’17, received OWU funding to complete an internship with Human Connections, a nonprofit “social enterprise” in Mexico. Students have also completed OWU Connection projects in India.

And Ohio Wesleyan's Indian graduates are enjoying success in fields from business, to science, to fashion design, to academia.

Commitment from the Top

OWU President Rock Jones says: "In this global society, the free flow of students and scholars enhances democracy in this country and around the world. International students attending U.S. institutions and interacting daily in this culture gain a true understanding and appreciation of our democracy and our values. When they take that understanding home, we build a more peaceful world."
