AES Engineering Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a educational facility. 

AFCEA Copernicus Foundation Scholarships

Located around the world, many of AFCEA's 135 chapters also provide scholarships, grants and tuition assistance for aspiring engineers, technicians, programmers, military personnel and government officials. Financial assistance is made available for students living or attending school within each chapter's local community.

Austin E. Knowlton Memorial Scholarship

The Austin E. Knowlton Memorial Scholarship was established at Ohio Wesleyan in 2012 and supports students from Ohio. The scholarship provides up to $5,000 annually over four years with preference given to those who are interested in majoring in mathematics or a related field. The scholarship continues each year as long as the recipient remains in good academic standing at Ohio Wesleyan.

Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship for Mathematics and Science

The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program was authorized by the United States Congress in 1986 to honor Senator Barry M. Goldwater, who served his country for 56 years as a soldier and statesman, including 30 years of service in the U.S. Senate. The creation of this program pays tribute to the leadership, courage, and vision of Senator Goldwater and establishes in his name an endowed recognition program to foster and encourage excellence in science and mathematics. The purpose of the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation is to alleviate a critical current and future shortage of highly qualified scientists, mathematicians, and engineers. A more realistic statement of the purpose, in today's terms, is to provide a continuing source of highly qualified individuals to those fields of academic study and research. Each scholarship covers eligible expenses for undergraduate tuition, fees, books, and room and board, up to a maximum of $7,500 annually.

B. Davis Scholarship

This $1,000 scholarship is offered to high school juniors and seniors as well as students attending college. There is no requirement for major to apply. This scholarship asks you to examine leadership and important characteristics of leadership in individuals. 

BigSun Scholarship

Citizens Bank

Citizens Bank wants to honor the dedication of students and families pursuing higher learning! Fill out the registration form to be entered for a chance to win a Grand Prize of $15,000 to use towards school expenses and one of the $2,500 monthly prizes! Additionally, each quarter a student who meets the required criteria for the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Scholarship Prize will be eligible to win a $2,500 quarterly prize for use towards school expenses.

Coca-Cola Founders Scholarship

The Foundation awards 50 four-year $20,000 scholarships and 200 four-year $10,000 scholarships for use at accredited colleges and universities within the US. Rewards leadership and excellence as exemplified through academic achievement and extracurricular activities, including to community service. Available beginning August 1st as an electronic application. Applications must be submitted by October 31 of the senior year to qualify.

Community Foundation of Shelby County Scholarships

Residents of Shelby County, Ohio can complete the combined application for scholarships offered by the Community Foundation of Shelby County. You will complete a set of questions to determine your eligibility for various scholarships. A "My Applications" section will track all scholarships for which you are eligible and will feature a few more questions you need to complete to submit your application to each scholarship program.

The Department of Defense (DoD) SMART Scholarship Program is an opportunity for students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in STEM disciplines to receive a full scholarship and be gainfully employed by the Department of Defense upon degree completion.

Edward Arthur Mellinger Educational Foundation

The Mellinger Foundation awards scholarships to undergraduate students from Fulton, Henderson, Knox, McDonough, Mercer, and Warren counties in Illinois who attend accredited colleges and universities or accredited and/or recognized vocational schools within the United States.

Elks National Foundation to Award College Scholarships

The Elks National Foundation provides more than $3.64 million in college scholarships each year through its three scholarship programs. The application process and deadlines vary for each program. All applications must go through a local Elks Lodge before reaching the Elks National Foundation office.

Government Finance Officers Association Scholarships

These scholarships are available for undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in full-time study preparing for a career in state and local government finance.

If you currently run a small business while attending college or have a small business idea to start while you plan to attend college, consider applying for the GreenPal scholarship.

Harry S. Truman Scholarship

This is one of the most prestigious scholarships, shaped for students who intend to pursue a career targeted to public service or government. Graduate study should be a goal, with a portion of the funds directed there. You must be at least a junior, and your college must nominate you. A "nomination" package must be created. The awards can reach as high as $30,000 over the years. Generally, about 80 students are selected. The deadline is February 1.

Horatio Alger Scholarship

The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans is dedicated to the simple but powerful belief that hard work, and determination can conquer all obstacles. Today, through its Members, the Association continues to educate our nation's young people about the economic and personal opportunities afforded them by the promise of the American free enterprise system. Through its scholarship programs, the Association encourages students to pursue their own version of the American Dream. While providing scholarship opportunities, Association Members mentor the Scholars and underscore the importance of service to others. The Members work directly to provide promising young people with the support, and confidence needed to realize their aspirations.

Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarships

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation's Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship honors excellence by supporting outstanding community college students with financial need to transfer to and complete their bachelor's degrees at the nation's top four-year colleges and universities.

Lorain County Medical Scholarship

Lorain County Medical Society offers scholarships for students studying medicine and other health-related fields.

The Lorain County Medical Scholarship Foundation was developed in 1963 for the purpose of establishing a fund to assist Lorain County students who were preparing for a career in the health or medical allied fields. The concept of a Scholarship Foundation grew out of the Lorain County Society's deep interest in the general health and well being of the residents of Lorain County. The members of the Medical Society wanted to ensure a sufficient number of properly trained and qualified persons to adequately serve the needs of the County.

Scholarships are based on residency, financial need, and academic achievements.

Marine Corps Scholarships

Our mission is to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships for higher education to deserving sons and daughters of Marines and children of former Marines, with particular attention being given to children whose parent was killed or wounded in action.

Max McElhaney Memorial Educational Scholarship

Sponsored by Rocky McElhaney Law Firm, the Max McElhaney Memorial Educational Scholarship has been established to honor the life and love of Rocky's Uncle Max and to award $2,500 to an undergraduate student, enrolled in a 4-year program at a public or private college or university majoring in either History or Education. The scholarship will be paid on the first Monday in September following the season opener football game the University of Tennessee in accordance with Uncle Max's wishes. Like Rocky, Max graduated from UT-Knoxville and loves the Vols football team. An eligible student must be enrolled as a full-time student during the fall semester in which the award is paid. At the student's election, the scholarship can be paid directly to the university or college but is not transferable.

Mensa Education and Research Foundation

The Mensa Education and Research Foundation college scholarship program bases its awards totally on essays written by the applicants. Consideration is not given to grades, academic program or financial need.

Mesothelioma.com Scholarship

Mesothelioma.com is proud to award $4,000 to one student each semester whose life has been impacted by cancer. Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship

The Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship offers $1,500 to a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, participation, and leadership in school activities and work experience and is interested in pursuing a career in the health and fitness related fields. The student may apply and use the money for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, and board.

National Debt Relief Scholarship

National Debt Relief will award 5 scholarships of $1,000 each to outstanding college students pursuing studies in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields.

National Honor Society

This is a scholarship for National Honor Society members in their senior year. Your chapter/school nominates you. The award amount is $1,000 for about 200 students nationwide. 

Nicholas A. Pennipede Memorial Scholarship

Our founder, Vincent Pennipede, knew the meaning of hard work. By his own dedication and drive, he was able to obtain a health professions scholarship from the military. Then, he went on to start up our first office in Overland Park in 1986.

Following in that spirit of giving back, we are proud to offer a high school scholarship to a student looking to achieve their college educational goals while demonstrating a commitment to helping their community. The Randall Blair Isenberg Alcohol Addiction Awareness Scholarship rewards one student who demonstrates a passion for raising awareness of alcohol addiction with a $500 scholarship for college. Scholarship candidates must possess a history of raising alcohol addiction awareness, as demonstrated by volunteer, educational, or professional experiences, and submit a 500 word essay responding to one of the prompts on the scholarship page.

Roothbert Scholarship Fund

The Roothbert Fund was created in 1958 by Albert and Toni Roothbert to help men and women in need of financial aid to further their education. The principal focus of The Fund is its Scholarships Program, through which it makes grants for undergraduate or graduate study at accredited colleges or universities. Scholarships may only be applied to study at an accredited institution based in the United States. The Fund seeks candidates who are "motivated by spiritual values," and works to foster fellowship among them.

Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

Founded in 1923, The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards are the oldest, longest-running, prestigious recognition program for creative teenagers in the United States. The Awards recognize student achievement in the visual arts and creative writing. The Alliance and its 81 Regional Affiliates will review submissions of art and writing by creative teenagers from across the country.

Thermo Scientific Pierce Scholarship

The Thermo Scientific Pierce Scholarship Program for the Spring 2015 semester includes two (2) $10,000 scholarships and four (4) $5,000 scholarships, to be awarded to undergraduate and graduate students with a declared major in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related life-science field. To qualify for the scholarship, students must have a GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and be enrolled in an accredited college for university. In addition to these qualifications, students must also be legal United States residents, meaning that students possessing appropriate Visa status in order to study in the United States are also eligible.

United Methodist Dollars for Scholars

Each year through the United Methodist Dollars for Scholars (UMDFS) program, the United Methodist Higher Education Foundation (UMHEF) provides $1,000 matching scholarships to United Methodist students who have received a $1,000 scholarship from their local United Methodist church to help them attend a United Methodist-related college, university, or seminary. Online applications must be submitted between January 1 and March 1 each year.

United Methodist GBHEM Scholarship

The United Methodist General Board of Higher Education and Ministry (GBHEM) Office of Loans and Scholarships is partnering with a company to provide an online application and database for our programs. International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc. (ISTS) is a firm that specializes in managing sponsored scholarship programs. The application eliminates any paper submission by the applicant or reference. During the awarding process, ISTS will be in touch with you on behalf of GBHEM. There will remain one place to apply for programs, update your contact information, and check for missing items for all GBHEM programs.

United Methodist Higher Education Foundation

The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation awards scholarships each year to deserving students all over the country. Each year, we distribute over $2 million annually to more than 1,000 students attending over 100 United Methodist-related institutions of higher learning. Students must be active members of a United Methodist Church. 

Veterans United Foundation Scholarship

The program's primary goal is to assist military service members and their families by awarding up to twenty $2,000 scholarships to help pay for tuition and books each semester.

Vegetarian Resource Group

The Vegetarian Resource Group each year will award $10,000 in college scholarship money to graduating U.S. high school students who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and/or communities. Two awards of $5,000 each will be given. Early submission is encouraged.
