Jean Clerel is a 2013 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and where he was introduced to the acoustic guitar by a roommate. Born and raised in Douala\, Cameroon\, Clerel was always in a family of music lovers. In October 2020\, Clerel was featured on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert as part of the #PlayAtHome Series.
As a student\, Clerel was a member of Rafiki wa Afrika\, President's Club\, The JayWalkers\, and Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity\, among many other accomplishments. He now resides in Montreal.&nbsp\;
