Dr. Michael Flamm, recipient of the Herbert Welch Award for Scholarly or Artistic Achievement, has built a reputation for keeping students engaged, on the edge of their seats and wanting more historical context. Since coming to Ohio Wesleyan he has authored 5 books and published more than 30 academic articles or book reviews and created an Audible series on How 1954 Changed History (2020). Dr. Flamm will be the speaker for this event and will be delivering a talk entitled "1954 Atomic Bomb and Oppenheimer"
