Maggie Smith, Ohio Wesleyan alumna, poet, and part-time instructor in the OWU Department of English, will read from her new book of poetry, “Good Bones,” in the Bayley Room of Beeghly Library, 43 Rowland Ave., Delaware. The title poem from Smith’s book was shared online by thousands of people as a message of healing and hope following the June 2016 Pulse nightclub shootings in Florida. The poem since has been named the Official Poem of 2016 by the BBC/Public Radio International, and Smith, of Bexley, has been named the 2016 Ohio Poet of the Year.
