Commencement Update
Ohio Wesleyan will celebrate Commencement for the Class of 2021 and the Class of 2020 at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, in Selby Stadium. The single ceremony will feature remarks from one student representing the Class of 2021 and one representing the Class of 2020.
Note: The doors open for families at 8:30 a.m. Please be aware that Henry St. in front of Selby Stadium will be shutdown prior to 9:40 a.m. on the day of commencement as the graduates begin processing. If you plan on arriving after that time, please be advised that you will not be able to travel on Henry St. near the stadium. We advise any guests needing special assistance to arrive well before the 10 a.m. ceremony start time.
Based on new guidelines from local public health officials, each graduate now is able to invite up to four guests. Guests are not required to wear facial coverings at the event.
To accommodate your additional guests, we will be seating family groups of four together with 4 feet of physical distance between groups.
In the event of rain, all graduates and guests will be given clear ponchos to wear. Umbrellas will not be permitted inside of Selby Stadium.
Graduates must pre-register so we know how many people will attend and so we may plan appropriate seating.
Following the ceremony, guests will be asked to remain in their seats until all graduates leave the stadium. Families should plan a meeting spot with their graduate away from Selby Stadium, avoiding any clustering after the event.
