Rod Bouc Landscapes, at Ohio Wesleyan's Richard M. Ross Art Museum, 60 S. Sandusky St., Delaware. The exhibit will open with a free public reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, in connection with the OWU Fine Arts graduating senior exhibition. Bouc uses oil sticks, charcoal, and pastel for printmaking and oil sticks for monotypes depicting Midwest landscapes. "The challenge becomes how to apply the paint and charcoal in interesting ways," Bouc says. "Because of my interest in surface, color, and composition, the work sometimes moves from the representational to abstraction. In this way, I can achieve a new synthesis of representation that includes saturated color and attention to surface." Learn more at www.rodbouc.com.
