As part of the “Women Behind the Lens” photography exhibition, you’re invited to a virtual opening and discussion at 2 p.m. Aug. 29. Registration is required at www.owu.edu/lens. The exhibition, now on display through Nov. 12, features exhibits at both Ohio Wesleyan’s Richard M. Ross Art Museum and the Columbus Museum of Art.
The Aug. 29 online event will feature Catherine Evans, former Ross Curator of Photography at the CMA, and Claire Weidman, former collections manager at the Ross Art Museum.
At Ohio Wesleyan, “Women Behind the Lens” includes works from OWU’s permanent collection by 26 women photographers and celebrating arts patron Sally Ross Soter. The photos are being displayed in the Kuhlman Galleries of the Ross, 60 S. Sandusky St., Delaware.
During the academic year, the Ross is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The museum will be closed Oct. 13-17 for mid-semester break.
