Two events will take place this year:

Poster Display and Contest

Posters should provide information about the history of a particular living unit / fraternity house (this is all-inclusive—small living units, houses, fraternity houses, sorority lodges, residence halls, etc). Posters can be of any size except it may not be a banner. All posters intending to be a part of the competition must be in the Student Involvement Office no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, November 12. Posters will be displayed on Heritage Day, Tuesday, November 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Posters will be judged and the winning poster will receive a $100 Chartwells gift card.

Race Through History

Teams of five-seven may register for the Race and may include any students, faculty, or staff members. Teams may register any day over the noon hour in the HWCC atrium from Monday, October 29 to Friday, November 9. On Heritage Day, teams will gather at 4:00pm at Elliott Hall and then travel to several spots on campus to learn fun historical facts about places students have lived as OWU students and some information about the future of Residential Life. All teams who visit every location on the race map will be eligible for the grand prize (not simply the first team to complete). The grand prize is a trip into the Stuyvesant bell tower.

Concluding Program

Concluding program in the newly renovated Carper Family Room in Stuyvesant Hall, 5:15 p.m. on Heritage Day, Tuesday, November 13—food, fantastic photos of residence halls old and new, a video of alums sharing their favorite residence life memories, and  performance by the JAYwalkers!
