Class of 1974 50th Reunion
Thank you for an outstanding weekend!
Ohio Wesleyan welcomed 144 members of the Class of 1974 and our guests to campus on May 17-19, 2024 to celebrate our 50th reunion. What a marvelous weekend it was! Keep scrolling for photos and videos from the weekend below.
Let's stay in touch!
Even though our 50th reunion is finished, our connections don't have to be. Join in the conversation, kepe the celebrations going, and share your favorite photos and anecdotes in our Facebook group!
Listen to the music that brought us together!
Thanks to Reg Ungberg, you can listen to a compilation of the all of the '50 for 50' playlists and requested songs from our reunion. Check out more than 24 hours of curated tunes at the link below!
Create Your Legacy
Join classmates and support our Class of '74 50th Reunion Gift!
It is notable that 99% of current OWU students receive merit- or need-based financial aid. Our gifts have never been more important. Our 50th Reunion Class Gift will directly support the areas of greatest need at OWU, including student scholarships. By making a gift in honor of our 50th reunion, you will help ensure that current and future Bishops will one day celebrate their 50th reunions!
Please help us reach our goal of $350,000 by June 30, 2024.
The Difference Our Gifts Make
"Scholarships, faculty, and programs depended on philanthropic support as much then as they do today."
Read the letter from your class reunion committee sharing how your 50th Reunion Gift can make a difference for current OWU students, just as alumni support made our own OWU experiences possible.
In Memoriam
As Janet de Michaelis '74 shared at the class dinner, "No reunion is complete without remembering those in our class who are no longer with us. We celebrate their lives, and we cherish the joy and the memories that they gave to us. Gone, yes… but certainly not forgotten."
Photo Slideshow
Thank you, Andi Waller '74, for producing the photo slideshow for our reunion, and thanks to all who submitted photos! Watch the video and see who you recognize in the link below.

The friendships I have made from my time at Ohio Wesleyan are some of the most special ones that I have in my life, next to my family. I look forward to our 50th and celebrating the great run that many of us have had together!

Cheers to the Largest Class in the history of OWU having the best 50th Reunion ever! Hope to see you there!

I am looking forward to our 50th OWU reunion for three reasons. First, to have fun. Second, to reconnect with many OWU friends from my past. Finally, to help carry on OWU's mission in the future by raising - hopefully - a record class gift with all my 1974 classmates to give back for the great experience we had as students there.
Scott Oldenburg
I look forward to reconnecting with other members of our 50th anniversary class and offering a toast to our past and future success!

This is the last big round-up so I urge you all to come and visit with people you might never see again. I detect the normal shenanigans from our wayward class. The 50th Reunion should be on everyone's bucket list.
Chris and Wendy McCall Johnson
We will be at our 50th! Hope you are, too!

The upcoming reunion has allowed me to reconnect with classmates from around the country. It has been hilarious and thought-provoking - what a diverse group. I tell new jurors during orientation that if they do not find this service to be one of the most rewarding in their life, to call me. The same applies to this reunion: if you do not have fun, if you do not laugh out loud at least one time or cry at least one time then call me up!
Tony DiBiasio
In our fraternity, a saying has been repeated many times over the past 54 years. Being a Phi Gamma Delta member, "is not for college days alone." Being an alum of Ohio Wesleyan has proven to have meaning well beyond those 4 years on campus. The connections made as a student, and those made over the past 50 years with fellow Bishops have made a significant impact on me and my family and I remain proud and grateful for these enduring friendships.
