The Ohio Wesleyan alumni awards are a way to acknowledge the exceptional individuals that make up the OWU community.

Each year, the Ohio Wesleyan Alumni Association proudly recognizes the achievements and volunteer contributions of our alumni and friends through four awards:

Distinguished Alumni Citation: The Distinguished Achievement Citation (D.A.C.) is the Alumni Association's highest honor and is awarded to alumni who demonstrate professional accomplishment and/or outstanding service to humankind.
Young Alumni Award: The Young Alumni Award is given to alumni who graduated in the last 15 years in recognition of a commitment to excellence in post-collegiate life and a significant or ongoing commitment to extraordinary work, research, volunteerism, or service to OWU.
Alumni Award: The Ohio Wesleyan Alumni Award is given to alumni who demonstrate outstanding service and/or philanthropic support to OWU.
Honorary Alumni: Honorary Alumni status is conferred upon persons who have exhibited consistent interest in and support of OWU for a significant period of time.

We seek to honor and celebrate those who have made Ohio Wesleyan University, and the world, better through their career success, community achievement, alumni connectedness and college support.

We cannot do this without you.

We look to the alumni community to nominate individuals worthy of receiving these honors. Please take a moment to learn more about the awards (detailed definitions in the navigation for this page) and fill out a nomination form. Candidates will be reviewed and voted on by the Alumni Board of Directors and award recipients will be announced in the spring. Below are the dates for nomination submissions based on class years:

To honor those with class years ending in '2 and '7, nominations are due January 15, 2026
To honor those with class years ending in '3 and '8, nominations are due January 15, 2027
To honor those with class years ending '4 and '9, nominations are due January 15, 2028
To honor those with class years ending in '0 and '5, nominations are due January 15, 2029
