About

Kennedy Stephenson is a first-generation student at Ohio Wesleyan University who works as a student intern in the marketing department. She is originally from Troy, Ohio, where she lived with her father, stepmother, and four brothers, along with their two dogs and three cats. While still in high school, Kennedy was a member of the theater department, participating in two spring musicals and three fall plays during her tenure.

During Kennedy's junior and senior years of high school, she attended a trade school to earn certificates in Adobe programs, such as InDesign, Lightroom, Photoshop, and printED. She has also done CPR training and Fire Extinguisher training.

In 2024, Kennedy was accepted to Ohio Wesleyan University and awarded the Monnett Scholarship. She also got multiple other small scholarships from the school and the state of Ohio. Out of the total tuition cost, Kennedy only has to pay $5,000 for the entire year.

Elliott Hall

The Beginning

Elliott Hall, was built in 1833 originally as a hotel, is the oldest building on campus and is where the History, Politics & Government, and Sociology & Anthropology departments are located.

Perkins Observatory

The Observatory is home to a 32-inch reflector and a variety of other telescopes. The facility hosts multiple public events each month.

Richard M. Ross Art Museum

For Some, Art is Their Voice

In 2002, the old Delaware Post Office was converted and opened as the Art Museum, which now displays some of Ohio Wesleyan's students' very own collections.

Slocum

The Study Room

Students often go to Slocum Hall throughout the school day or when their floor's Study Lounges are full. Slocum is open 24/7, accessible with your OWU ID, and it has tables, wifi, power outlets, a few computers, and a printer to use.

University Hall at Ohio Wesleyan University houses the Department of World Languages & Cultures and the Film Studies Program.
