February 15, 2020: OWU High School Honor Band Festival Finale Concert

The Festival Finale Concert presents two excellent ensembles consisting of students from 23 schools across Ohio: the 9-10 Honor Band (Dr. Ishbah Cox, conductor) and the 11-12 Honor Band (Dr. Elizabeth Peterson, conductor). Students have been practicing on their own in preparation for festival rehearsals culminating in this performance consisting of works that may include:

9-10 Band: “Elements” (Brian Balmages), “Redemption” (Rossano Galante), “Sea Songs” (Ralph Vaughan Williams), and a WORLD PREMIERE of “Touched” by OWU composition student, Jessyln Martich.
11-12 Band: “Colorado Peaks” (Dana Wilson), “Shenandoah” (Omar Thomas), “Reckoning” (Michael Markowski), and “Americans We” (Henry Fillmore).

BONUS: A silent auction of Downtown Delaware gift cards and prizes to raise scholarship funds for the OWU Summer Music Camp. Bidding starts at 1 p.m. and concludes at the end of the intermission.
