While raising the children, the family skied and sailed. Later on, she loved reading and knitting. Lewis Fikes, of Delaware, OH, Aug. 29. He was a chemistry professor at OWU from 1985-2004. Lewis is survived by daughter Lara Fikes Dominy '93.

Martha Goldstein, of Delaware, OH, March 13, age 76. She was a part-time instructor in math and computer science at OWU. Marty is survived by husband Gerald "Jerry" Goldstein, a former professor at OWU, and daughter Kaye Goldstein '03. 

David Hull, of Columbus, OH, Aug. 20, age 86. He was the Henry E. Parrott Professor of Mathematics and Statistics at OWU from 1970-2000.

Bernard Murchland, of Delaware, OH, June 24, age 96. He was a professor in OWU's philosophy department from 1967-2010, serving as department chair and later professor emeritus. He was predeceased by wife Joan O'Neill Murchland '83. Bernard is survived by daughters Suzanne Murchland Luecke '88 and Rebecca Murchland '92.

Dick Smith '05 (honorary), of Delaware, OH, July 1, age 101. He was a professor at OWU from 1950-2014, as well as the namesake of OWU's annual Smith Lecture Series in Civil War history. He was predeceased by mother Mary Williams Smith 1917 and brother David Smith '53.
