Winter Community Day & Expo
The Bishop Backers Winter Community Day and Delaware Expo is one of the signature events held annually by the organization to connect the community with Ohio Wesleyan and the region's many resources.
Join Us on Feb. 22, 2025!
You're invited to join us for the Bishop Backers Winter Community Day and Delaware Expo on Feb. 22, 2025, when the Battling Bishops men's and women's basketball teams play a senior day doubleheader against Denison University in Branch Rickey Arena. Admission is free for everyone with a canned food donation to support the Delaware County Hunger Alliance, a United Way of Delaware County initiative.
The day will begin at noon when the Delaware Expo opens in Gordon Field House to showcase local nonprofit organizations and businesses. The expo runs until 3 p.m.
The women's basketball game will tip off at 1 p.m. and the men's game at 3 p.m. Come cheer on the Bishops and celebrate the Delaware community!

Our 2024 Bishop Backers Winter Community Day and Delaware Expo was held Feb. 17, 2024, and collected cash and more than 300 pounds of food for the Delaware County Hunger Alliance.
The event also included a Battling Bishops women's and men's basketball doubleheader and a Delaware Expo that included:
- Columbus Zoo animals
- YMCA children's activities
- The Delaware Fire Department's safety house.
- CPR and AED training from Delaware EMS
- Community service opportunities
- Free raffles

What's Community Day?
Community Day is intended to bring people together for a free afternoon of entertainment and education, building on the strong sense of cooperation and collaboration that makes Delaware such a great community. The expo also will help businesses and nonprofit organizations to connect with potential customers and volunteers, including Ohio Wesleyan students and alumni.
