About Raksha Adhikari ’10

Raksha Adhikari ’10 is a Research Consultant with the Lewin Group in Falls Church, Virginia. Lewin Group is a national health care and human services policy, research and consulting firm.

Raksha received a Master of Science in Public Health in International Health from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2014 with a strong interest in maternal and child health, infectious disease, vaccine and nutrition, and conducted public health research in vaccine trials and community trials in Nepal. She volunteers in a variety of levels ranging from Red Cross Volunteer to support of the local community in Nepal.

Activities and Societies at Bloomberg School of Public Health: Teaching Assistant for Global Disease Control Programs and Policies, Research Assistant at the Johns Hopkins Center for Human Nutrition, Research Assistant at the Johns Hopkins Center for American Indian Health, Social Media Officer for SMRI (mHealth Student Group), Vice-Chair for International Health Student Group, Tutor for high school students at Dunbar High School via Johns Hopkins Incentive Mentoring Program, Global Disease Epidemiology and Control Class Representative.

At Ohio Wesleyan University, Raksha majored in Pre-professional Zoology and graduated in 2010. Activities and Societies: Phi Eta Sigma, Phi Sigma, Omicron Delta Kappa, Event Chair for Women in Science, Pre-professional Zoology Representative for Zoology Student Board, Co-Founder and Co-President of Colleges Against Cancer of American Cancer Society, Florida Anclote Island Restoration Mission Trip, General Physics II Teaching Assistant, General Chemistry I Teaching Assistant, General Chemistry Tutor for the Chemistry Department, and OWU Columbus Initiative Tutor.
