Ohio Wesleyan prepares students to live, lead, and prosper in a global society. Students from around the world have been coming to Ohio Wesleyan for more than 150 years, and today, they help to create an international living and learning community on our campus.
Currently, students from about 27 nations are enriching Ohio Wesleyan University with their talents and perspectives. And we are part of a richly diverse central Ohio community in which more than 100 languages are spoken.
The Ohio Wesleyan curriculum is also focused on global issues and experiences. Students have multiple opportunities to "Go Global" and study abroad. Our Global Scholars Program funds student projects around the world and brings international scholars to OWU. And we offer majors in fields such as International Relations and International Business, with students conducting research around the world in almost every field of study, from Accounting in Australia to Zoology in Zimbabwe.
After four years of study, our graduates leave Ohio Wesleyan University ready to make a difference in the world.

The OWU Connection distinguishes an Ohio Wesleyan education from other colleges and universities. We developed The OWU Connection to give you the broad-based knowledge, global skills, and real-world experience that will help you tackle tomorrow's most important challenges. We partner with you to create unique OWU Connection experiences to prepare you for your career or graduate school goals. At Ohio Wesleyan, you will Think Big. You will Do Good. You will Go Global. And you will Get Real.
Work closely with your professors to explore the connections that link the arts, sciences, and humanities in solving real-world challenges. OWU offers 70 majors, and about a third of OWU students graduate with multiple majors.
You also can work with faculty mentors to explore research projects in one discipline or across diverse majors. During the Summer Scholarship and Research Program, students work full-time with professors for 10 weeks in paid research positions - and present their research at a symposium.

We believe every Ohio Wesleyan student should be immersed in new cultures and new environments - it's an essential part of a 21st-century college education. You will be living and learning on a campus enriched with the perspectives of students from around the world. And through The OWU Connection, you will have many opportunities to travel or study abroad during your four years.
Travel-Learning Courses include trips that help bring on-campus learning to life. Many students use OWU Connection grants for research projects around the world. And some spend semesters abroad immersed in another culture.
Every OWU student has a variety of opportunities to take what you've learned in the classroom and put it to work in real-world settings. Many students complete internships – and some do more than one. The New York Arts Programs offers semester-long internships at a wide range of arts and entertainment companies. And OWU alumni across the nation employ OWU interns from every major. OWU's Career Connection office can help connect you with internship opportunities and career support.
You can also work with a professor to create a unique project - and get OWU Connection Grant funding to help carry it out.
