Harriet Zahn Mecum College of Arts & Humanities

On Oct. 23, 2026, Ohio Wesleyan announced the formation of the Mecum College of Arts and Humanities, created with an extraordinary $40 million trust commitment from the late Dudley C. Mecum II '56 and their family. The commitment, which ranks among the largest gifts ever made to an Ohio liberal arts college, will ultimately establish permanent endowed support for faculty salaries across the University.
