Join the Department of English and the Creative Writing Program for a reading by Chinelo Okparanta.

Chinelo Okparanta is a Nigerian American novelist and author of the recent novel Harry Sylvester Bird, named a “Best Book of the Summer,” “Most Anticipated,” and “New And Noteworthy Book” by Esquire, Cosmopolitan, LitHub, Book Riot, Ms. Magazine, The Millions, Lambda Literary, Poets & Writers, and more. She is also the author of the short story collection Happiness, Like Water and the novel Under The Udala Trees. Okparanta is the department’s celebrated Quinn Lecturer.

The event will be held in the Milligan Room on the first floor of the newly renovated Slocum Hall, 75 S. Sandusky St., Delaware. Admission is free.
