Ellen Arnold, Ph.D., associate professor of history, will exhibit her photography at downtown Delaware’s Fresh Start Café & Bakery, 24 N. Sandusky St., Delaware, beginning with an exhibit reception from 7-8:30 p.m. Jan. 13, 2017.
Arnold’s collection marks the first exhibit in the café’s new community art gallery. Of her photography, Arnold says:
“I am fascinated by the ways that people interact with place, with the biographies of places and spaces, and the ways that nature affects human spaces and humans affect nature. My images reflect the character of places and the intersection of the natural and the man-made, the animate and the inanimate.”
In addition to shows in Delaware, Arnold’s work has been accepted into juried exhibitions at the A. Smith Gallery in Johnson City, Texas; the Midwest Center for Photography in Wichita, Kansas; and Fusion Art Gallery in Palm Springs, California.
