4:10 p.m. September 17 - Poet, essayist, music, and cultural critic Hanif Abudurraqib will be this year's Osborne Lecturer. Columbus native Abdurraqib's new book is a memoir of fandom centered around the hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest. His previous collection of essays, They Can't Kill Us Until They Kill Us, features work on music, sports, Black Lives Matter, and what it means to grow up Black in the Midwest. Abdurraqib's second book of poetry, A Fortune For your Disaster, will be published by Tin House in early September.
