New Vistas in Astronomy lecture featuring Paul Martini, Ph.D., professor of astronomy at The Ohio State University. Martini will discuss “A Walk Through the Lyman Alpha Forest” at Ohio Wesleyan’s Perkins Observatory, 3199 Columbus Pike (U.S. 23), Delaware.

His current research interests include topics related to observational cosmology and instrumentation, particularly for the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI). Martini also is interested in the formation and evolution of galaxies and the evolution of supermassive black holes, particularly quasars.
