Noon Oct. 17 – Poetry readings by OWU graduates Marwa Helal and Amy Lemmon, in the Bayley Room on the second floor of Beeghly Library, 43 Rowland Ave. Delaware. Helal, OWU Class of 2003, is the author of “Invasive species,” described as “a hybrid of poetry and prose that strips bare the United States’ stance on foreigners and immigrants.” Lemmon, OWU Class of 1985, is the author of three books of poetry, including “The Miracles,” containing glimpses of her children and their father, who died in a senseless accident, making “heartbreaking leaps in time, finding beauty and solace in small, perfect moments” Both writers are faculty members at the Fashion Institute of Technology, State University of New York.
