4-7:30 p.m. Nov. 7 – Urban Bush Women of Brooklyn, New York, presents the interactive workshop “Entering, Building, and Exiting Community.”

The workshop is limited to 25 Ohio Wesleyan students who have worked with communities other than their own through service-learning, Theory-to-Practice, Travel-Learning, or alternative spring break experiences.

Urban Bush Women seeks to inspire people through performances, education, and community engagement. Participants will gain tools and methodologies for entering, building, and exiting community, including navigating assumptions regarding community-based practices.

Presented in partnership with the Department of Theatre & Dance, the workshop will be held in the Jannuzi Dance Studio inside the Simpson Querrey Fitness Center, 105 S. Sandusky St., Delaware. About the Sagan National Colloquium

Now in its 34th year, the Sagan National Colloquium seeks annually to address in-depth an issue of national or global importance. The colloquium is funded by an endowment from 1948 OWU alumni Margaret Pickett Sagan and John Sagan, both deceased.
