Registration Begins Feb. 6 for Ohio Wesleyan's Lifelong Learning Institute

DELAWARE, Ohio – Knowledge will take root and grow this spring through a catalog of classes being offered by the Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) at Ohio Wesleyan University.

For a flat fee of $75, Delaware County residents 55 and older are invited to take as many courses as they wish during the spring session, which begins the week of March 16. Ohio Wesleyan professors and other volunteer experts teach the courses in a non-competitive environment. All sessions will be held in-person unless otherwise noted. Scheduled spring classes are:

  • Oscar Potpourri
  • Embracing the Past to Understand the Present: Three Defining "Moments" in Ohio (and American) History
  • LLI Potpourri, with single-session topics including:
    • What to Do About Immigration?
    • It's Common Sense to Declare Independence
    • New Advances in Alzheimer's Treatment and Building Brain-Healthy Habits
    • Introduction to South Korea: History, Politics, and the Economy
    • AMAZING BIRDS VIII, More Birds From Around the World
    • Adventures Across America
    • Can You Play Your Way to a Sharper Brain?
  • Stairways to Heaven: Four Ways of Being Religious in Global Perspective
  • Getting to Know You
  • Raise Your Spirits
  • TV Game Show Fun – Part 2
  • Virtual (Silk) Road Trip: a journey across the history of the Islamic world and its architecture
  • America: Her Presidents, Her History

Online, mail, and telephone registration for the spring session opens Feb. 6 and runs through March 6. Scholarship applications are due March 7.
