Ohio Wesleyan and Case Western Reserve Expand the Pathway for Graduate Business Degrees

DELAWARE, Ohio – Ohio Wesleyan University is expanding its graduate school pathway partnership with Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management to add a Master of Accountancy.

With the addition, Ohio Wesleyan students now have early admission opportunities in four high-demand Case Western Reserve master's programs: Business Analytics & Intelligence, Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Accountancy. The expanded agreement also reduces the specific prerequisite classes OWU students must complete for CWRU admission.

The collaboration is part of Ohio Wesleyan's broader strategy to build a coordinated talent pipeline to meet the evolving needs of regional and national employers in business, analytics, and engineering-related fields. (OWU's Conrades School of Engineering will begin enrolling mechanical engineering majors in fall 2027.)

Under the expanded CWRU agreement, qualified Ohio Wesleyan students are able to apply during their junior year for early admission into the four Weatherhead School master's degree programs with no application fee. If accepted, the OWU students will receive scholarships of at least $10,000, with the potential for additional merit aid.

"Ohio Wesleyan is committed to creating opportunities for our students and excited to expand our collaboration with Case Western Reserve University's prestigious Weatherhead School of Management," Provost Karlyn Crowley said. "The powerful combination of OWU and CWRU degrees will help our students become leaders in their fields, no matter where in the world they choose to make their mark.

"Ohio Wesleyan is intentionally building a talent engine that connects liberal arts insight with technical capability and advanced graduate study," Crowley continued. "At OWU, business education is not siloed. Students engage in interdisciplinary coursework, applied research, entrepreneurial initiatives, and real-world consulting experiences – creating a seamless progression from undergraduate study to advanced professional credentials."

Weatherhead Dean Andrew Medvedev added: "Employers are looking for graduates who can analyze complex problems, communicate clearly, and make smart decisions quickly. This partnership gives Ohio Wesleyan students a direct path into our graduate business programs, preparing them for the kind of work companies actually need – whether that's accounting, analytics, finance, or supply chain strategy."
