My name is Jocelyne Muñoz, and I’m thrilled about being the lab liaison for the 2016-2017 school year. This is the seventh year that we’ve had the pleasure of using the new Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope, also known as the STEM or Big George.

I have the pleasure of helping to keep the lab in optimal condition. I also get to assist BOMI 318 students with their labs, I create the image of the week on the board outside the lab, and I keep our website up to date. It's fascinating working with the microscope, assisting professors and students in their research by exploring samples through microscopy.

The StAP program was created by Ohio Wesleyan in 1992, and the position that I am now filling was created in 1997. Ever since then, many students have had the honor of working with the SEM and Dr. Tuhela-Reuning.
