Tuition covers only 47% of the actual cost of an OWU education, so gifts from alumni, parents, and friends of the university are essential to cover the gap. Every current Bishop benefits from these gifts – by receiving scholarships, attending campus events, and even when going to class.

OWU's giving days—We Are OWU in February and Bishops for Bishops in April—are key opportunities to engage in the community of philanthropy. Join in the fun by sharing on social media, taking part in activities around campus (including giveaways!), and even making your own participation gift.

Members of the senior class are encouraged to participate in the Senior Class Gift for Ohio Wesleyan University. This gift is a critical step in transitioning into OWU alumni and becoming part of a long-standing tradition.
What's important is not how much you give, but that you participate. Your gift of any size will count towards the class total and directly increase the value of your degree, while supporting scholarships, faculty development, and much more. It will also help cement your legacy, as all participating seniors will be listed in the Commencement program at the end of the year.
Seniors who choose to give $20.25 or more will also receive a donor cord to wear at Commencement.
