A new era for college dining

Back in the 1980s, as now, students needed to eat. But the dining hall was much more than a place to refuel for late-night study sessions and athletic practices; it was a gathering place for conversation and friendship. The same is true today. Some of the food options have expanded though, from quinoa to sundae bars, but the biggest change was the onset of 24/7 dining in the Smith Dining Hall. Athletes especially appreciate having a hot meal on campus after returning late from a road game.
