Challenge Camp

Enjoy choosing your own outdoor adventure? Challenge Camp is full of outdoor activities, evenings spent by the campfire and talking about college life!

WHERE?

The morning of Friday, August 21, buses will greet Challenge Camp new students at OWU and we will head to Flying Horse Farms, about thirty minutes from campus. This beautiful, modern, wooded retreat center will be our home for the 3 days and two nights of Challenge Camp and all its activities. During, your small group you will be challenged to complete a number of fun initiatives together that will help you get to know each other well and build friendships. You will stay in cabins with bunk beds, electricity, air conditioning, and full bathrooms with showers. Meals are served in a dining hall and the camp has high-and low-ropes courses, an indoor activity center, and other outdoor activities!
*Challenge Camp is a residential program where all students, regardless if they are living on-campus or commute to campus during the year, will stay on site at Flying Horse Farms and sleep in air conditioned cabins during Camp.

WHEN?

Move-in: Thursday, August 20

Move into residence halls at OWU and take a little time to get your room set up! Later that afternoon, all new-to-OWU students and families celebrate the start of their OWU collegiate experience with welcome programs! We will have a Challenge Camp meeting in the evening to go over the logistics of camp and what to expect.
