“Marty Kalb Retrospective,” featuring paintings that span the 50-year career of the accomplished artist, a retired Ohio Wesleyan professor and Delaware resident, at the Richard M. Ross Art Museum, 60 S. Sandusky St., Delaware until October 8.

Kalb taught painting, drawing, and modern art history in OWU’s Department of Fine Arts from 1967 to 2007. His early work has been described as having “a strong representational figural element with an experimental abstract expressionist background.” His later work includes powerful pieces inspired by the Holocaust, combining his figurative and historical interests.
