Beeghly Library | Bayley Room

Join OWU professor and acclaimed author Robert Olmstead as he reads from his latest book, “Savage Country: A Novel.” The book has earned widespread acclaim, including starred reviews from Kirkus Reviews and Booklist, and a spot at No. 48 on Amazon’s “Best Books of 2017” list.

With novels such as “The Coldest Night”—finalist for the Dayton Literary Peace Prize—and “Coal Black Horse”—winner of the Heartland Prize for Fiction—Olmstead, OWU’s director of creative writing, has applied his singular vision of America’s past with a lyrical and fierce intensity.

He will speak in the Bayley Room of Beeghly Library, 43 Rowland Ave., Delaware. The event is free and open to the public.
