You and your small group will spend time working on projects with Habitat for Humanity, learning about food justice issues, and serving the homeless population in Columbus. During the evenings you can look forward to meals with your new friends, games, small group conversations, laughter, and reflections on the day’s experiences!

Day One (Aug 16)

  • 1-4 p.m.: Check-in to residence hall
  • 7 p.m.: Welcome program with students and parents/family
  • Spend the night in residence hall rooms

 Day Two (Aug 17)

  • Breakfast
  • All camps gather for Camp Oh-Wooo kickoff at Alum Creek State Park
  • Large and small group games
  • Lunch
  • Service Camp group leaves for host church in Columbus
  • Arrival and welcome
  • Introduction to service activities
  • Dinner
  • Small Group Time

Day Three (Aug 18)

  • Breakfast
  • Bishop Spirit and Traditions
  • Service Activities:
    • Habitat for Humanity: Partner with our local Habitat chapter to work on a home build or help out in their ReStore facility.
    • Food Justice: Work in an urban garden, visit non-profit, Local Matters, and learn about hunger issues in the city.
    • Serving the Homeless Community: Serve in a food pantry, help out at an after-school program, and learn about challenges facing the homeless population.
